Windows 10 May 2019 Update now available to all seekers

Microsoft has been very cautious with the Windows 10 May 2019 Update roll-out following the issues of the October 2018 Update, and today, nearly a month after the official roll-out began, Microsoft has made the update more accessible to Windows 10 users.

Microsoft has updated their support document to announce that the May Update is now available to all seekers ie. those who check for updates.

They write:

Current status as of June 6, 2019:

Windows 10, version 1903 is available for any user who manually selects “Check for updates” via Windows Update. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.
Note follow @WindowsUpdate to find out when new content is published to the release information dashboard.

This does not mean every PC checking will get the update. If there are known blockers Microsoft will still decline pushing the update to your PC.

Current known issues include:

  • Windows Sandbox may fail to start with error code “0x80070002”
  • Loss of functionality in Dynabook Smartphone Link app
  • Display brightness may not respond to adjustments
  • Audio not working with Dolby Atmos headphones and home theater

For the very best experience with the update we recommend waiting for Microsoft to explicitly push out the update to your PC.
