Apple has released iOS 9.3.2, and it appears to be a mixed-bag of an update. On one hand, it finally lets you use Low Power mode and Night Shift mode at the same time, so you can save both your eyes and your battery. And now for the bad news, the iOS 9.3.2 update might be killing 9.7in iPad Pros. Not good.
So what’s the issue? Those affected by the problem are seeing an ‘Error 56’ message, which tells the user to plug the iPad Pro into iTunes. The only issue? The iPad Pro still doesn’t work.
While we still don’t know what the cause of the problem is, a look at Apple’s error code can shed some light on the issue. According to the Apple website, ‘Error 56’ refers to a hardware issue – which seems odd after a software update.
If you’ve got an iPad Pro 9.7in, I’d advise holding off updating to iOS 9.3.2 for now. While it only appears to be affecting some iPad Pros, there’s no harm in waiting until Apple have acknowledged and fixed the problem.
