AdBlock and AdBlock Plus now available for Microsoft Edge on Insider builds
Ad blockers are some of the most widely used extensions for web browsers with AdBlock and AdBlock Plus being among the most popular ad blockers available for a variety of web browsers. Once the extensions have been downloaded and installed, make sure you restart Edge and check the extensions area to make sure everything is working correctly. Microsoft Edge lacked support for extensions when it came out about a year ago and the company recently opened up extensions for developers, which is why AdBlock and AdBlock Plus for Microsoft Edge are now available.
Don’t worry if you are not a Windows Insider.
It also appears these are the first two Microsoft Edge browser extensions that are delivered through the Windows Store without the need to manually download and install the extension through a download process. Then simply go over to the extensions menu in Edge and you will be prompted to add new ad blockers.
This is a great news for users looking to switch to Microsoft Edge from chrome or other browsers. And now we have a most requested extension so it is awesome.
The Microsoft Edge browser is still far from complete, and is struggling to find its foot-hold among top contenders like Chrome, and Firefox. Now that they’ve arrived, they bring numerous same features as versions for other browsers, including controls over what type of ads to block, as well as whitelisting website where it’s ok to display ads.
