SSD drives and Windows

Solid-state drives otherwise known as SSD drives have reached critical mass, meaning enough are produced to make the price competitive. The advantage of these new hard drive when paired with the correct OS is nothing short of fantastic. They have the ability to boot an OS in mere seconds. So sounds like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, its ability to do that timesaver is dependent upon your operating system. Only Windows 8 is able to take full advantage. Other versions of Windows including XP and 7, will not see any real advantage.
