I am very happy to report that Windows 7 is looking very impressive. The alpha release of Build 6801 is what Vista was supposed be from the start. It loads and shuts down very fast. I have been doing work on it for over a week and find it very stable, especially for this early of a build. When I along with thousands of others first beta tested Vista, we all knew Microsoft was in trouble. This is no longer the case with Windows 7. If you were a Vista tester and still have your beta key and can locate Windows 7 you are in luck. This version will run untill August 09. The look and feel are not much different but the overall performace is spectacular. It actually works better on less hardware requirements than Vista. Performace is very exceptable with just 1 gig of ram and intergrated graphics. The only dowside I have to report is about IE 8 which loads with Windows 7. It is the least stable of any beta browser and crashes constatly. I am looking forward to Microsoft redeming itself with Winsows 7.
